This is my personal favourite of my guitar solos. I consider the guitar the most arduos instrument to write music for (especially for a non-guitarist-composer), and this composition sounds very appropriate on guitar. As the title says this piece merges technical agility and lyricism.

In 1998 this composition earned a merit award at the International Composition Competition for Guitar "Paolo Barsacchi", Viareggio (Italy).
